Chancellor Carey Bostian ScholarshipThis $1,000 scholarship, established by Dr. Lloyd R. Bostian, son of the former NCSU Chancellor, goes annually to a CALS student with an interest in Genetics. Chancellor Carey H. Bostian is a Genetics and Zoology Professor Emeritus, who served as Director of Instruction in CALS, and as Chancellor from 1953 to 1959. Bostian Hall is named in his honor. His dedication to NCSU and to his students serves as a continuing inspiration. The recipient of this scholarship is selected on the basis of academic achievement and interest in and/or a minor in genetics. The 1995 recipient, Linda Abel '95, is shown in the following picture standing between Dr. Lloyd Bostian and Dr. Carey Bostian. To the right are Mrs. Lloyd Bostian and Dr. Wendell McKenzie.
