Graduate Studies in Genetics

The Department provides a strong and well-balanced program of graduate study and research training leading to the Ph.D. degree and two types of Masters degrees. The Master of Science is a research degree and requires a research thesis. The Master of Genetics is a non-thesis degree for those individuals desiring coursework rather than a research-oriented program.

Interaction and collaboration with other NCSU departments and disciplines is encouraged and has led to the award of several prestigious research and training grants over the last few years.
