Horticultural Crops Research - Castle Hayne

General Information

The Horticultural Crops Research Station was established in 1946 and is located on a 60-acre tract on Highway 117, six miles north of Wilmington. An additional 50-acre tract on Holly Shelter Road is seven miles northeast of the main station. North Carolina State University recently purchased 12 nearby acres, previously leased by the station, for blueberry research.
