Proposal Guidelines
Advanced Vegetable Crops Management (HS 590E)
Abstract- 150-200 words describing your proposal.
Introduction- introduce your project. Include background
information (with references). This is where you answer the question
"Why does this research need to be done?"
Objectives- in a few paragraphs, write about what you hope to
accomplish.
Materials & Methods- List all the equipment, materials, labor,
etc.. that you'd need for your research. Also give a dollar figure
for each item. For example, labor at $6.00/hr for a total of 80
hrs=$480.00. Drip tape- $175.00/acre x 5 acres=$875.00, and so
on...
References- references should be mostly journal articles, but
other sources such as personal interviews, extension publications, and
websites. If you use websites, try to use university or professional
sites. Cite your references using the same format as Hort Science.
