Teaching responsibilities center around designing user-oriented, functional landscapes with a magical ambiance. Within this context, professional interests center around resolving the increasing conflicts between Nature and "development". This is carried out through efforts in sustainable design and Earth mysteries research and their respective impacts on alternative forms of housing, food production, energy production, and transportation. "Hands-on" experiences, including extended camping/cooking field trips to visit good and bad examples of relative work, and the building of ephemeral sculptures, often based on the Golden Mean, are significant components used in teaching/studying the above.
