The horticulture club is partnered with the JC Raulson Arboretum in various ways. Several members are specially trained to be children's tourguides and are regularly called on to lead tours for school groups and other youth groups.
Horticulture club volunteers (above) are working at the Pi Alpha Xi plant sale. Pi Alpha Xi, a horticulture honor fraternity, hosts this plant sale at the arboretum each spring and fall. We as members work very hard to publicize and man the sale. People flock to the sale to find prize plants that are not usually sold in regular garden centers.
