Welcome to the NC State University Hortiuculture Club home page! Please contact any of our officers or faculty advisors with questions.
Goals and Purposes:
Stimulate interest and enthusiasm for learning beyond the scope of the classroom. To promote the science of Horticulture to the university community and general public. Promote student-faculty relations. Promote scholarship, fellowship, and leadership.
Activities:
Along with twice monthly meetings, the Horticulture Club sponsors a fall cookout to welcome the new and welcome back the old members; assists Pi Alpha Xi with their fall and spring plant sales at the JC Raulston Arboretum; sponsors a winter banquet; participates in service projects like the Agri-Life Canned Food Drive and the Student Government's Feed Raleigh Day and various fundraising events; travels on an annual fall field trip; experiences international experiences; allows members the opportunity to participate in the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) competition team; holds a spring awards banquet with faculty and student skits; and produces the Evergreen, a horticulture club yearbook.
How to Join the Horticulture Club:
Attend meetings and get involved. Any student at NC State University is welcome to become a member! The only requirement to be a member is to be ACTIVE!!! Check back to this web page often for updated information!
