Faculty International Travel Support
Policies and Procedures:
A limited amount of funds has been dedicated to assist CALS faculty to travel abroad to attend international conferences or to do collaborative research, teaching and extension. Application for specific travel grants should be submitted to the Office of International Programs (CALS).

The traveler will fill out the Request for International Travel Support Form and forward it to his/her Department Head for approval. If approved by the Department Head, he/she will forward it to the Assistant Dean for International Programs electronically.

As in the past, the funding support, if approved, will be 1/3 of the total estimated travel cost up to $800.

If the Travel Support is approved, the International Programs Office will send the approval by e-mail with an Approval Letter as an attachment. Copies of this e-mail will be sent to: The traveler's Department Head, CALS Administration, and the Int'l. Programs Administration. In case of disapproval, the Assistant Dean for International Programs will notify the traveler and his/her Department Head by e-mail with an explanation of the action.

The International Programs Office also administers a very limited number of a $1,000 travel support grants for International Study leave. Faculty can apply for this funding following the same procedures indicated above.
