There are 9 required credits (PHY 503, PHY 504, BCH 553) and 27 other credits to fulfill the 36 credit hour requirement for the MOP degree.
A 1-credit hour Ethics course is required and can be chosen from suitable courses in the Graduate Catalog:
GS 850, PHI 816, CBS 662.
Up to 6 of the 27 credits may be selected from courses supplemental to those listed in the Physiology course list, provided that the courses chosen are more advanced than those previously completed.
400 - level courses
a. 400-level courses in the credit hour requirement for Master of Physiology degree.
No more than ten (10) hours of 400-level courses may be counted toward the 36-hour requirement.
b. Post-Baccalaureate Studies (PBS) credit
400-level courses taken in PBS status are NOT transferable into a graduate program.
Appropriate courses may be selected from among the following departmental programs and fields of study course lists. Others are possible.
Considerable flexibility exists. Many courses are cross-listed.
The advisor is encouraged to contact the Director of the Physiology Graduate Program for input on course selection.
