    Thesis: Molecular and biochemical characterization of plant phosphatidylinositol 4-kinases. Two isoforms of PtdIns 4-kinases, AtPI4Kalpha and AtPI4Kß, were isolated from Arabidopsis thaliana. AtPI4Kalpha was characterized for its regulation by polyphosphoinositides and its potential role as a cytoskeleton-associated protein. Functional characterization was initiated by isolating an AtPI4Kalpha knockout in Arabidopsis.
