Specialists
in plant identification and weed control are distributed across a
number of departments at North Carolina State University.
However, any plant identification request that does not involve a control
recommendation or disease diagnosis can be sent to the Herbarium
(Campus Box 7612, Department of Plant Biology, NCSU, Raleigh, NC
27695-7612), marked to the attention of the Curator.
Requests
for weed identification and control should be submitted directly
to an appropriate weed scientist using the specialized 'Weed
Identification and Control Request' form or the 'Aquatic
Weed Identification and Control Request' form.
These forms are available to NCSU affiliated personnel on the NCSU
intraweb or may be requested from a County
Extension Office. A list of scientist and
their respective program area is found below. Questions
concerning specimen preparation should be addressed to the
respective specialist.
