Introduction
Welcome. My name is Chris Brown and I'm the Director of Space Programs at the Kenan Institute for Engineering, Technology and Science at North Carolina State University. For the past several years I've been offering a course in space biology offered through the Department of Botany at North Carolina State University. Over this time, I've included many expert guest lecturers as part of the semester's activities.
With the support from NASA's Fundamental Space Biology Outreach Program, the Kenan Institute, and the NASA Specialized Center of Research and Training in Gravitational Biology and with the technical expertise of the Department of Communication Services within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Distance Education and Learning Technology Applications, we've compiled these lectures in digital format.
