Admission

Admission to the Graduate School and the Department is competitive. Admission is usually limited to students with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. All applicants should provide three letters of recommendation, two official transcripts in English for each previous institution, a completed application form (see below) and application fee. Applicants must provide Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores. A detailed statement of the applicant's interests and goals in plant pathology is an important part of the application materials. Applicants whose native language is not English must take theTest of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Examination and score at least 550 on the paper version. The minimum requirement for the computer-based test is an overall score of 213 with at least 17 on two of the three sections with no score of less than 13.
