The 2007 North Carolina Tobacco Tour will be held July 9-11. The tour is the combined effort of Plant Pathology, Crop Science, Entomology, and Biological & Agricultural Engineering. The tour provides an opportunity to observe some of the tobacco programs conducted by the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service and the North Carolina Agricultural Research Service. It is also an excellent opportunity to interact with one another and to observe North Carolina's agriculture.
Drs. Mike Boyette and Loren Fisher along with Grant Ellington will host an informal demonstration on the NCSU campus on Monday afternoon. The location is shown on the campus map. Tobacco Tour Parking is permitted in the West Lot only during the demonstration times (1:30pm - 3:30pm).
The Welcome Dinner will be at The Harvest Grill at Shelton Vineyard on Monday evening. The social begins in the tasting room at 6:00pm followed by dinner at 6:45pm.
