Research Interests
I am an undergraduate student in the Department of Structural and
Molecular Biochemistry. My interests include elucidating the genetic
regulation of the aflatoxin biosynthetic pathway as well as genetically
characterizing aflatoxin non-producing strains.
Past and current projects include phenotypic and molecular
characterization of Aspergillus flavus mutants; engineering selectable
markers to identify fungal transformants; and, optimization of fungal
transformation techniques.
