General Information:

The Pamlico Aquaculture Field Laboratory is a scenic two and one half hour drive east of Raleigh. It is superbly located on the Pamlico River drainage for aquaculture research. The results of basic fish biology studies and extension efforts are responsible for the mushrooming hybrid striped bass industry in the area. Flounder are the most recent species to be investigated for their suitability for Aquaculture.
