Business Meeting:

Chair Rick Mascagni brought the meeting to order at 4:30 PM, January 29, 2002. O.W. Barnett’s call about the web site of SRIEG-51 is up and run. Barnett needs the history, background, accomplishments that could be put on the site. Dave Wilson volunteered to prepare these information. Rick Mascagni will work with Dave on this matter.

Treasurer’s report: Hamed Abbas reported that there was $282.23 in cash left from last year meeting. Abbas moved the balance to Mississippi in 2001. Because of the bank cost for monthly fee, Abbas cashed the balance from bank. The cash will be forwarded to the new-elected Secretary/Treasurer. There were 15 people in attendance in this meeting and the registration fee was $30. The expenditure for this meeting was $28.81 for refreshments and the meeting room was free. The remaining was $421.19 and passed to the new-elected Secretary/Treasurer. The final balance is $282.23 + $421.19 = $703.42.

Election of new Officers for 2002/2003: Baozhu Guo nominated Jiujiang Yu. Gary Windham nominated Leigh Hawkins. Motion was made by Arnold Bruns to conduct paper vote and seconded. Hawkins had 9 votes and Yu had 6 votes. Leigh Hawkins was elected as 2002/2003 Secretary/Treasurer.

Motion to adjourn was made, seconded and passed at 5:30 PM, January 29, 2002.
