Quiz Bowl

National Convention

Delta Tau Alpha Honor Society
April 4 to 6, 2004

The Quiz Bowl is exciting and lots of fun!  Each chapter is eligible to enter a team of three members.  Similar to Jeopardy, teams are asked questions by a moderator and the first team to ring in with the correct answer gets the points.  There is no penalty for incorrect answers in the Quiz Bowl.

Questions are selected from the following fields of agriculture: 1) Agricultural Business, 2) Agricultural Mechanics, 3) Animal Science, 4) Horticulture, 5) Plant Science, and 6) Soil Science.  The material covered in the questions is representative of the knowledge that you are likely to learn in college as you are earning a degree in one of our majors.  Depending on the number of teams participating, a team may have to advance through four or five rounds before the big championship match.  Spectators often get as excited about the Quiz Bowl as the team members themselves.
