Terry Davio (left), who is our musician for tonight, and Michael Kirk at the Dixie Deer Classic.  Michael’s father, Bobby Kirk, who owns Cane Creek Shooting Preserve, donated three hunts to DTA that were raffled at the Classic to raise funds for the Convention.  Bobby is not only the father of an Agricultural Institute student, he is also a graduate of the Agricultural Institute.  The two English Setter puppies that Michael brought with him to the Classic, Betsy and Henry, helped attract visitors to our booth.  DTA members, Agricultural Institute alumni, and Dr. John S. Russ, our adviser, staffed the booth during the three days of the Classic.  DTA is very fortunate to have good members, good friends, like Bobby Kirk, and good alumni who help us with fundraising!

This is the Agricultural Institute delegation that went to the National Convention held at Arkansas State University in 2002.  Four of the students pictured are officers in DTA this year.  The other four have graduated, but we expect and hope that they will come back and help us with the National Convention.

Wow!  We had a great time in Arkansas.  Not only did we conduct DTA business, we met lots of new friends that we still stay in contact with today.  We hope that you will enjoy the National Convention at NC State.  We plan to do everything possible to make sure that you have a good time.  Come see us!
