The 14th International Sclerotinia workshop brought together persons interested in basic and applied plant pathology, mycology, agriculture, and all other aspects of the Sclerotinia fungus. Researchers, students, extension personnel, and industry personnel attended and participated in the five day meeting. The meeting was organized by the Planning Committee for the 14th International Sclerotinia Workshop, the host organization was NC State University, and Barbara Shew was the conference coordinator.
The 15th international conference will be held in 2013 at Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan, China (

Scientific Program

The workshop consisted of oral and poster presentations covering all aspects of Sclerotinia, including: biology, ecology, epidemiology, taxonomy, genomics, disease forecasting, pathogenesis, host resistance, fungicides, biological control, worldwide impact and importance.
The workshop also included a tour of agriculture in southeastern North Carolina and dinner outings to the ocean side and on the historic Cape Fear waterfront in Wilmington. Links to abstracts and presentations can be found below.
